BLOG POST 22nd March 2024

The other day, we went along to the official opening of the new Dam Viewing point walkway, a welcome addition to the Ingleborough Trail from Clapham up to the Cave.  This will be fantastic in Autumn for the reflections on the lake and even later in Spring once the foliage is out on the trees.

BLOG POST 2nd February 2024

Yesterday was the opening day for LORD'S COURTYARD near Settle, a 15 minute drive along the A65 from us. There's an upstairs eatery with quality items to buy downstairs plus a 'coming soon' auction room. We wish them the best of luck with this new venture.  There's still the salvage, collectibles and antiques store a short walk from us too.

To improve our accessibility, we've installed a sturdy metal handrail by the steps up from the parking area, which we're sure many of you will appreciate.

EV Charging. We do not have a dedicated EV charging point. There is a Podpoint charging area (6 points) at the Community Centre Car park. Maybe after dropping off your bags and checking in, take your car to charge up after you've re-charged with a brew and homemade cake. It's about a 10 minute walk and there's toilets as well as the facilities of the Ingleton Community Centre.

BLOG POST 28th July 2022

It's been all 'go' this week, very busy with guests, taking bookings for later in summer and we've now got solar panels on the roof.  They're on 2 levels at the back, to catch the most of the daylight hours.  We're getting greener and hopefully this will be a benefit financially too.  The panels have been installed by Lakes Solar. We will be keeping track on the app and watching those panels generate our own electricity which can only be good for the planet.

BLOG POST 8th July 2022

Last weekend, the Ingleton 1940s event took place and this was very popular, having not been able to take place for 2 years.  There were vehicles, dances, music, stalls, fashion and lots of people around the village area enjoying the well-organised weekend.  Next year's Ingleton 1940s will be held from Friday 30th June to Sunday 2nd July and it is well worth staying for the whole event so that you don't miss out on the live music and dances. Of course, we have our 3-night saver, so take advantage and stay Friday/Saturday/Sunday for the full experience.  we look forward to welcoming you to Ingleton. We should also mention La Tavernetta, under new ownership, this Italian restaurant is highly recommended and we suggest booking well in advance so that you don't miss out.  Full details of local eateries are sent when you book and of course you can check them out on our village website thisisingleton.co.uk and Tripadvisor.

BLOG POST 10th April 2022

We've been thrilled with the feedback from guests not only about their stay, but the places that they've enjoyed great meals and the local retail 'experience'. Recently , guests have told us about dining at Bank Top, The Masons (new owners, we need to try that Jerk Chicken) and The Craven Heifer. All less than a 15 minute walk from here.

BLOG POST 16th March 2022

Guests often ask if they can leave their car here while they head out to explore and "of course you can". Here's some car-free ideas:-

Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (about 15 mins walk to the start)

Ingleton village (shops, cafes, riverside stroll), then on to Country Harvest or the Marton Arms and back via Lord's Antiques & Salvage.

Hike up Ingleborough and back from Fell Lane, signposted just past the village. We'll sort you out with directions.

Catch the bus to Clapham, walk up the Nature Trail to Ingleborough Cave. Or, from Clapham, hike up Ingleborough and then come back down in to Ingleton, by Fell Lane - a circular route.

Catch the bus to Settle for market day on Tuesday, or carry on to Skipton for the castle and canal boat trip.

BLOG POST 7th March 2022

BLOG POST 17th January 2022

We're so optimistic for 2022 and what it brings, as bookings are coming in regularly, most taking advantage of our 3-night saver. This means that not only do guests save 10%, but they have more time to enjoy a change of scene, relax and explore the area.  We've used the quieter days to do more upgrades (how different the rooms look from when we opened in 2014) and new photos are being added to the website to show you.

BLOG POST 23rd December 2021
