We are fortunate to be less than a mile from the start of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. It's a payable 4.5 mile trail, sturdy footwear required.
Some guests come to do The Yorkshire 3 Peaks, as a personal or group challenge. Many enjoy The Peaks 1 at a time too - a day each for Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent.
When you book your stay, we'll send you more details about the Waterfalls Trail and the 3 Peaks. Just get in touch if you'd like this beforehand, to help you plan your stay. there are some lovely walks around the Ingleborough Nature Reserve and Ribblehead too.
Start your day with an early breakfast and we can provide a packed lunch so that you can enjoy a full day in the fresh Dales air (charge for lunch).
If the weather has been unkind, we can hang your wet clothes to dry and warm out of your way.

Harling House is perfectly located for The Yorkshire Dales National Park (International Dark Sky Reserve), The Lake District National Park and the Forest of Bowland.
The village of Ingleton has individual shops, seasonal outdoor pool and pottery. There are plenty of places to eat out including pubs, restaurants and cafes. Lord's Antiques and Salvage is a few minutes' walk where you're bound to pick up an unusual reminder of your stay.
Clapham village is less than 10 minutes' drive.
Ribblehead Viaduct, the famous viaduct on the Settle-Carlisle scenic train line, is approx. 15 minutes' drive.
Settle, Skipton and Kendal - historic market towns, 15, 30 and 35 minutes' drive respectively. Settle Victoria Hall hosts regular events and is the oldest music hall in the world.
Kirkby Lonsdale has individual shops and scenic views, less than 15 minutes' drive.
Hawes, the home of Wensleydale Cheese, shops and the Dales Countryside Museum is about 35 minutes' drive.
Lake District, from 30 minutes' drive.
Malham (for The Cove, Gordale Scar and Janet's Foss), about 35 minutes' drive.

White Scar Cave, the longest show cave in the country, is less than 10 minutes' drive.
Settle Falconry, 'you wear the glove', walk with birds of prey, based about 10 minutes' drive from there.
The Courtyard Dairy - for cheese making workshops and 'all things cheese', 10 minutes' drive.
Ingleborough Nature Trail and Cave, walk from Clapham village up the trail to the cave, less than 10 minutes' drive.
Book on to a Yorkshire Trike Tour for an unforgettable way to see and experience The Dales. (They will collect from our door and it can be a fantastic surprise for your 'other half'.)
Learn how to throw your clay at Bentham Pottery, where Lee runs small workshops from 1/2 day to 2 days.
Broadrake craft workshops include willow weaving, scything and other rural crafts.
Saaigoutdoors provide the opportunity to learn or update your skills of navigation, abseiling, climbing and will take you on a guided hike.
